The moment of Inga and Jeff’s wedding that stands out the most to me is when they were together right after the ceremony. They had grins on their faces and you could tell that they were so happy to finally be married. Even with all the commotion around them, they only had eyes for each other. One of the things I love most about my job is that I get to capture moments like this. I hope that when they look back at these images, they can relive that memory. Here’s to many more moments.
Recently I had another opportunity to assist Emily of Emily Takes Photos. I hadn’t shot a wedding in San Francisco this year after quite a few last year so it was nice to be back even though I had never shot at this location before. Rachel & Chris had a beautiful, intimate ceremony right near the beach in San Francisco. On a side note, I only have one more wedding from 2009 to edit so hopefully after that I will be able to show some of the other stuff that I have been working on.
I had another opportunity to assist Emily with David & Suzanah beautiful wedding in the Santa Cruz Mountains. They had one of the most genuine ceremonies I have ever been to. Surrounded by family and friends they read letters they had each written to one other. After the ceremony they moved right into the dancing much of which consisted of them being hoisted high into the air sitting on chairs. Oh, the cake was as good as it looks, vegan too.
I always feel that whatever I write down on these posts will never truly do justice to how beautiful and unique these weddings are, especially Dimi and Aldrin’s. After flying in from being married in Greece only two days before they returned to take their vows again and celebrate with friends and family in the States. I can only imagine how much work two weddings in such a short period would be, yet they did a great job and had a beautiful wedding. I can only hope my images do the day justice.
What can I say about Jessy & Michael? They were two of the nicest people I have had the privilege to photograph, which is saying a lot as I could say that about just about everyone I have worked with. They were blessed to have a very relaxed, informal ceremony amongst a group of close friends who really know how to party. I think the pictures show that much better than I can write it.
